WELCOME TO THE MONUMENTAL COMPLEX OF THE
BASILICA CATHEDRAL OF SAN MARCO IN VENICE

St. Mark's Basilica welcomes worshippers and visitors every day to come and pray and admire its extraordinary artistic heritage, with the exception of those days when visitor access to the Basilica may be temporarily suspended for religious reasons.

Choose the desired monuments, date and time of visit, and follow the instructions, making sure that you register with a valid email address.

Once you have completed the process, make the payment and you will find your tickets in the Order History of your personal Account. Print them out and bring them with you: they will be requested at the entrance. Enjoy your visit!

Plan your visit by choosing the monuments you want to visit, taking into account the times and capacities where they are compulsory, and avoiding overlapping schedules in case you want to visit more than one.

Clothes and behaviour must be appropriate for a place of worship (Please make sure your shoulders and knees are covered)

The tickets on sale online are all "Skip the line", to avoid queues at the monuments.

The Museum and the Loggia of the Horses
On Sunday mornings, while the Basilica and the Golden Pall are closed during services, you will walk up the impressive Foresti staircase and enter the Museum. Here you can more closely admire the mosaics, sumptuous Flemish and Medici tapestries, altar frontals, Persian rugs, and the triumphal Quadriga or four-horse carriage used for chariot racing. To end your visit, as you exit the Horses Loggia, you will be greeted by the enchanting view of St. Mark's Square.

Practical Information

The visit start time is the time selected when booking, and shown on the ticket.

It is important to be punctual, in order to give all visitors the best experience.

A leeway of 5 minutes before and after the start time of visits is allowed. A visit of about 30/45 minutes is recommended.

Pala d'oro and Basilica are not included on this ticket, but you can buy them at the checkout with operator from 14.00 onwards by following the signs inside the Basilica

Audio guides can be rented at the D'Uva counter, just after passing through the entrance turnstile.

Clothing and conduct must be in keeping with the religious nature of the building.

Backpacks and/or luggage larger than 40 cm x 30 cm x 20 cm are not allowed.
Trolleys are not allowed under any circumstances.
Security personnel may refuse entry to non-compliant backpacks and/or baggage.


N.B. None of the admission tickets are refundable. Once completed, bookings cannot be changed.
