Accounts and credentials issued by Procuratoria in any capacity are strictly personal and non-transferable.
The online service is available 24h. Tickets are on sale until the start time of the relevant time-slot. Once the ticket-buying procedure has begun, users have 10 minutes to complete the purchase; after that time, if the procedure has not been completed, the tickets will be made available again for sale.

3. BOOKING PROCEDURES FOR ADMISSION TO THE SIGHTS
Online booking is necessary for admission to all the sights with a skip-the-line ticket as per the terms given in point 2 above. This is possible until all of the bookable slots have been filled. Visitors can book their visits when purchasing the ticket online.
Bookings made by individual visitors, accredited tour guides, and tour operators cannot be changed and/or cancelled.
Accredited Tour Guides, using the credentials provided during accreditation, can buy up to 20 tickets for each individual booking, with a maximum of 30 daily tickets bought using the online skip-the-line system, in addition to having a personal annual accredited Guide Card at no charge.
Accredited Tour Operators, using the credentials provided during accreditation, can buy tickets up to the maximum number established by the Procuratoria.
Please note that the limits are set to ensure as far as possible equal access for all operators interested in using the skip-the-line service.
Private visitors can buy a maximum of 10 tickets per account per year.
If the limit is exceeded, subsequent orders will not be processed and, if issued, will be cancelled.
Non-profit associations (e.g. parishes, cultural groups, charities, scout groups) may request free entrance by e-mail, writing to accrediti@procuratoriasanamarco.it, and the Procuratoria will assess whether the conditions for granting free entry are met.
As for schools, upon accreditation, they will be entitled to buy 30 tickets per 30-minute slot at a discounted rate. After the visit, the account will be reset to its standard status and a new accreditation request will have to be made in order to benefit from the discount. These General Terms and Conditions may be changed at any time. Any changes will be effective from the time of their publication on the site: https://basilicasanmarco.skiperformance.com/it/negozio#/it/acquista?skugroup_id=2562 in the 'Terms and Conditions' section at the foot of each page of the site. Before making any purchase, users are therefore invited to visit the site regularly and read the most up-to-date version of the General Terms and Conditions.
The General Terms and Conditions applicable are those in force on the date the order is transmitted to buy an Admission Ticket. Before finalising the purchase, users should carefully read all the information that Procuratoria of St. Mark provides on the site, both before and during the buying process, and examine and approve these General Terms and Conditions by checking the appropriate box made available to users during the purchase procedure and before concluding the purchase.
Events such as adverse weather conditions, security and public order reasons or other organisational or technical issues beyond the control of the Procuratoria of St. Mark could lead to changes in opening hours, access arrangements, and length-of-stay times.
Any liability of Procuratoria di San Marco for any of these situations is ruled out.
Bookings for any type of visit to the sights may be subject to variation due to religious celebrations or other extraordinary and organisational requirements of the Procuratoria of St. Mark, as well as to force majeure events not attributable to the Procuratoria of St. Mark; such variations will be notified as soon as possible by the personnel in charge of the service via e-mail or through the contacts communicated at the time of booking, however, any possibility of reimbursement, in whole or in part, of the admission tickets remains expressly excluded.
Accredited Tour Guides and Tour Operators hereby waive all claims for damages and/or refunds and/or compensation: if the Procuratoria decides to change the visit due to the needs of the Basilica, they will only be entitled to a refund of their tickets if the time change is not possible.
Similarly, if the time change is not possible, individuals will be entitled only to a refund of the cost of the ticket.
In the event of expulsion for breach of the rules contained in the Specifications or these Conditions, nothing will be due - not even a refund of the tickets - neither to individual users nor to Tour Operators. Refunds or compensation of any kind are always excluded.
6. VALIDITY
All admission tickets purchased at the cash desks are valid for the day of purchase.
Tickets bought online will only be valid for the date and time/time of the selected visit/reservation, as stated on the ticket purchased.
7. RULES OF CONDUCT
The purchase and/or use of admission tickets implies the unconditional acceptance by the purchasers and/or users for all legal purposes of these General Conditions of sale, as well as of the rules of conduct to observe during visits to the sights Complex, expressly relieving the Procuratoria of St. Mark for any damage - direct or indirect - that may occur from the performance of the Contract, including due to the actions of third parties.
Visitors (and guides) must not:
a) Take in animals of any kind and size except for dogs for the blind or other form of support, if certified;
b) Take in any object having characteristics that may pose a risk to the safety of persons, the building, or facilities (e.g. drones, portable stands, weapons of any kind, etc.);
c) Smoke anywhere on the premises;
d) Consume food/drink;
e) Touch the decorated walls and mosaics, artwork, and antique furniture;
f) Cross the barriers along the tour routes;
g) Use amplification devices for group visits.
h) selling tickets purchased either in person at a ticket office or online at a mark-up on the ticket price; selling tickets purchased as accredited Tour Guides or Tour Operators without indicating the portion of the price relating to the ticket and the portion that is the Tour Operator/Guide's additional service;
i) regarding Tour Guides, it is compulsory that those who have bought tickets for their customers through their accredited account personally accompany their customers - except for in rare cases of impediment (e.g. illness or other) of which the Procuratoria must be informed by e-mail prior to the visit in order to assess whether there are grounds to grant the change for the Guide;
j) Tour Guides and Tour Operators are also obliged to comply with any other rules set out in the respective Specifications.
Visitors must follow the routes, times, access arrangements and provisions for the protection of the sights, and respect for their religious value.
The staff in charge of the Procuratoria of St. Mark are entitled to refuse admission if they consider visitors' clothing/attire to not be respectful of the religious nature and/or prestige of the premises.
Mobile phones, tablets or similar, which could disturb the site and its visitors, may only be used if they are silenced and earphones are used.
For photographic and audiovisual recordings, please contact the staff. In any case, the use of flashes, tripods and drones is forbidden and it is always strictly forbidden to take photographs in the area reserved for the worshipers.
The buildings that are being visited are subject to the regulations for the protection of Artistic and Cultural Heritage and, as such, utmost caution is recommended.
During the booking process, private users, Tour Operators and Tour Guides shall not use any mechanisms, software, programs or other routines that may interfere with the operation of the booking systems in such a way as to offer a particular advantage to the detriment of other users.
Neither physical nor digital tampering of entrance tickets is permitted in any way (e.g. deletion of date and time, concealment and/or change of data, etc.).
If found by the Procuratoria, such malpractices will result in the booking being cancelled and the accreditation being forfeited without the possibility of reapplication for 12 months.
Booking cancellations are only permitted for evening visits. They can be made up to 10 days before the date by sending an email to the Procuratoria at visiteserali@procuratoriasanmarco.it.
In these cases, the cost will be refunded.
Failure to cancel within that period will result in forfeiture of the refund.
Failure of the group booked for the evening visit to show up ('no-show') will also result - in addition to the full cost being charged without refund - in the account being suspended for 3 months unless suitable justification is provided and sent in advance to the above-mentioned email.
All penalty measures will be communicated by certified e-mail (PEC) or by registered mail to the interested party, who will be entitled to submit observations within 15 days. The final decision issued by the Procuratoria will be notified in the same form.
For safety reasons, as there are very narrow and step passages, it is not recommended to enter the visitable areas with heeled shoes or to wear footwear that does not allow for perfect walking. In the event of high water, all visitors are urged to pay the utmost attention, and to walk along the raised walkways, and to observe the signs and instructions given by the custodial staff.
It is strictly forbidden to access the terraces barefoot.
Children must be accompanied by a person at least 18 years of age, and held by the hand while visiting the terraces. Prams and buggies are only permitted on the terraces if they are closed and unoccupied.
It is reiterated that the Procuratoria of St. Mark is exempt from any liability for direct or indirect damage that may occur to persons or visitors and/or to objects belonging to them as a result of the use of the services, goods and museum areas made available within the premises of the sights Complex, either individually or as a whole. The Procuratoria of St. Mark is also exempt from liability for theft of visitors' property occurring in the museum areas and spaces.
Please note that the security measures are applied within the limits of compatibility of the nature and age of the buildings, with exemption of any consequent liability on the part of the Procuratoria of St. Mark. We therefore recommend exercising caution.
For accredited tourist guides and tour operators, all provisions contained in the relevant specifications also apply, even if not expressly referred to in these general terms and conditions.
8. ADMISSION
Admission is regulated by the staff of the Procuratoria of St. Mark in accordance with the safety and security regulations and with any Covid regulations in force at the time of entry.
In the case of accredited tourist guides and/or tour operators, access is also regulated by the relevant specification.
For the purpose of entering and visiting the sights Complex, visitors must have a valid admission ticket with them. The staff also reserve the right to make checks while visitors are on the premises of the sights Complex.
Should the admission ticket be bought from a third party that was not authorised to sell it, or should it be stolen, counterfeited, illegible (for reasons not attributable to Procuratoria di San Marco), copied or obtained in breach of contract, the purchaser:
If they are at the entrance, will not be allowed to enter the sights Complex;
if they are already inside the sights Complex, will be escorted to the exit.
For the purposes of the above, admission tickets may not be resold for profit, exchanged, transferred or handed over for commercial, advertising or promotional purposes (by way of non-limiting example: prizes from competitions, sales to charity, etc.) without the prior written consent of the Procuratoria of St. Mark via the Administrative Management.
Purchasers may access the website and/or contact Procuratoria of St. Mark for information on hours, possible changes to dates, times, or on other aspects regarding the opening of the sights Complex that will be shared through these channels.
For information on the days and times of the services presided over by the Patriarch, we recommend you always consult the website of St Mark's Basilica at: http://www.basilicasanmarco.it/calendario-liturgico/festivita-con-il-patriarca/

The purchase agreement is governed by, and interpreted in accordance with, Italian law. Any dispute arising out of, and/or in connection with, the agreement shall come within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Venice.
Any complaints may be addressed to: help@procuratoriasanmarco.it.
