St. Mark's Basilica welcomes worshippers and visitors every day to come and pray and admire its extraordinary artistic heritage, with the exception of those days when visitor access to the Basilica may be temporarily suspended for religious reasons.

Choose the desired monuments, date and time of visit, and follow the instructions, making sure that you register with a valid email address.

Once you have completed the process, make the payment and you will find your tickets in the Order History of your personal Account. Print them out and bring them with you: they will be requested at the entrance. Enjoy your visit!

Plan your visit by choosing the monuments you want to visit, taking into account the times and capacities where they are compulsory, and avoiding overlapping schedules in case you want to visit more than one.

Clothes and behaviour must be appropriate for a place of worship (Please make sure your shoulders and knees are covered)

The tickets on sale online are all "Skip the line", to avoid queues at the monuments.

St. Mark's Basilica

The visit starts by crossing the threshold of Porta San Pietro (St. Peter's Door) ('Skip the Line' entrance) and passing under the splendid Dome of Genesis, where you enter the lower part of St. Mark's Basilica (* Pala d'Oro, Museum, and Horses Loggia not included). On entering the church, we are taken by the majesty of the golden mosaics, and typical Byzantine art forms that are revealed when beholding them for the first time.

Practical Information

Tickets purchased are always at your disposal in the area: Login - My Account - Order History.

The visit start time is the time selected when booking, and shown on the ticket.

It is important to be punctual, in order to give all visitors the best experience.

A leeway of 5 minutes before and after the start time of visits is allowed. A visit of about 15/20 minutes is recommended.

*The Pala d'Oro and Museum/Horses Loggia are not included on this ticket. You can buy tickets for them at the staffed box office by following the directions inside the Basilica.

Audio guides can be rented at the D'Uva counter, just after passing through the entrance turnstile.

Clothing and conduct must be in keeping with the religious nature of the building  (Please make sure your shoulders and knees are covered)

Backpacks and/or luggage larger than 40 cm x 30 cm x 20 cm are not allowed.
Trolleys are not allowed under any circumstances.
Security personnel may refuse entry to non-compliant backpacks and/or baggage

N.B. None of the admission tickets are refundable. Once completed, bookings cannot be changed.
